Should you post a picture of yourself online? Personally, I would say no. Even though you take many precautions such as not putting last names, phone numbers, or addresses online, it is good to be safe and not risk it! Though you should definitely be honest on who you are, but avatars are a great way to do that. For example, my avatar, as shown below, represents me because it is teen girl with glasses, same hair color, and I love pink.
I read Angel’s post on this topic and I completely agree with what he has said. (Angel and I have actually become sort of commenting buddies; you should check out his blog. His posts are really interesting to read!)

It’s good to hear that it’s not raining anymore!
The story behind the name, MushaBelly’s World is….
My favorite cousin who lives far away(Portland, Oregon) has a huge belly! He is always playing with a gift my mom gave him. That specific blanket is called a MushaBelly! I began to call him MushaBelly. My cousin(real name is Cody) is my inspiration.
When I created my new blog, I needed a unique name, so…
I remembered him and called it MushaBelly’s World since he means everything to me, and everything to me is the whole world. This is basically my story behind the name “MushaBelly’s World!”
I read your second blogging challenge blog and thanks for mentioning me! I’ll make sure I mention you in my next blog.
Still spreading the word about your blog!
Bye, Famous Abbey,
The Famous Angel!

P.S. forgot to mention that the gift was a blanket, sorry!
Bye.
Abbey, where did you make your avatar? Just wondering. Nice post, by the way. I completely agree.

Sorry, on the html editor, it was a nerdy smile, but now it isn’t. Thanks a lot, technology… Haha.
Sorry for the late response, I didn’t have much time(between school, wrestling practice, and running).
And yeah, we’re planning on going somewhere exciting during summer vacation! I don’t know where though.
It’s really nice that you’re really close to your grandma. My grandma from my mother’s side of the family is in Texas. and my other…..passed away 4 years after I was born.:(
Ok, let’s change the topic before I get gloomy.
I can’t imagine how cold it is right now in Indiana in the mornings because it’s cold in California. Well, not cold compared to 40 degrees fahrenheit. It’s about 50 degrees fahrenheit(I’m used to warmth).
Yeah, I’m from southern California, living in a small rural town called King City. In which part of Indiana are you living? Do you like it there? Too cold?
Bye, Famous Abbey,
The Famous Angel from MushaBelly’s World
P.S. I have an upcoming wrestling tournament, wish me luck!
Abbey, I really love the semi-realistic look of your avatar. Could you please tell us which site you used to make it?
Thanks!
Hi Abbey!
I understand about the busy part completely: a few months ago I was in a play at a community theater that took up all of time. Rehearsals on school nights sometimes were as long as 5 hours, and on weekends when we were teching they were 8 hours! Ah! I’m glad its over though…
I read your post about your jazz band going to Disney, that’s fabulous! The farthest my 7th and 8th grade jazz band travels is still in the same state…
I went to Oahu, which was so beautiful! I loved that I never needed a coat (like at home) because it was so warm! The water was unbelievably tropical turquoise: it was so nice! The flight was really long, I left Honolulu yesterday at 12:30 (Hawaii time) and arrived in Boston Logan Airport around 8:00 this morning (New England time)…..
Just wondering, where did you make your avatar? It’s awesome!
