Jazzing Up Eighth Grade on Sketchfu

Learn how to draw cartoons, comics, and anime at Sketchfu!

I chose Sketchfu from this list of embeddable blog tools.  To be honest I chose it because the example was of Phineas and Ferb, which is a show I love.  But I was also interested in the concept of drawing and then replaying it back in fast motion.  Sketchfu is really fun and easy to use.  I made the above animation in less than two minutes.

Hey, Abbey, just to congratulate you on your blog’s being chosen for the “Blog-o’-the-month” at ISTE Island’s Blogger’s Hut in Second Life. This is a little fun project that’s been choosing one of four proposed blogs every month to feature at its 3D virtual building dedicated to educational blogs and blogging. We hope that this will drive some caring traffic to your blog and, more, that you will keep blogging into 2011. For the month of January, your blog’s RSS feed will be automatically updated every hour in the Hut so that virtual visitors (avatars) will be able to access your blog quickly and easily from the building. I haven’t posted it yet but I’ll post an announcement at http://scottsecondlife.blogspot.com when I have everything set up for January. Congrats!

    Dear Abbey,
You’re the new celebrity of my classes…they love the Sketchfu that you created and it has inspired many, many students to give it a try for themselves. You’ll see some of their names above my comment. You’ll have to come by our class blogroll and take a look at how many kids are using this feature.

So….I don’t know how many comments that it counts for…but it’s got to be a lot since you did more than get comments. You caused other people to DO something.

    Congrats.
