Surgery Update

Surgery went really well!  It was only 37 minutes long and everything ran smoothly.  My arm was still numb for several hours after I got home, but I finally got feeling back.  I have to wear a brace and use my right hand (I’m right-handed) as little as possible.  I can still move all of my fingers and type and text though.

Surgery!

I have what is shown in A

I am having surgery tomorrow morning on my wrist.  I have had a cyst for about a year and half, and I am finally getting it removed.  Wish me luck and I’ll let you know how it goes!

Happy 4th of July!

Greetings from Michigan! I am currently sitting on a hotel bed waiting until we leave to go to an amazing omelette shop for breakfast. We are visiting my aunt and twin cousins for the 4th of July weekend.  I am really excited for tonight because we are going to be going out onto a boat in Grand Traverse Bay to watch the fireworks (that are over the water) from a boat!  It’s going to be really fun!

So far I’ve done a lot of shopping, but last night we went to the movie theater to watch Toy Story 3.  It was really good! Everyone, including me, my two cousins that are going to be seniors in college, my 17 year old brother, my parents, and my grandma, enjoyed the movie.  It was really funny!

Yesterday, since it is currently the National Cherry Festival, we watched an air show of the Blue Angels.  They are navy, air force, and coast guard planes and helicopters that can do cool tricks like flips.  We went to eat lunch about halfway through the 3 hour show and ate under a canopy.  We could see out to the water where they were flying, but we couldn’t see when they looped around and came roaring over our heads at over 100mph.  Almost every time we all jumped.

Hope you’re having a fantastic summer and

Summer is Here

I mentioned quite a while back that our band and jazz band were going to a competition at Kings Island. We went, and both bands received first place! 7th grade band received a score of excellent, and jazz band received a score of superior. Not to mention hanging out in the park was lots of fun!

Ah, summer. Summer is a fantastic time where you can relax, hang out with friends, and sleep in. The only problem is that I am easily bored and I don’t like summer. I love school, hate weekends, hate summer. Yeah the break from work is nice, but three months is a bit long for me. I’ve only been out for 2 weeks as of today, yet I am longing to return to school.

I am going to Michigan to visit family over the 4th of July and church camp in Wisconsin the following week, but other than that, I’m not doing much.

If you have any ideas for how I could spend my free time, please comment! I’d also love to hear what you’re doing this summer! Have a fantastic day! =)

I’m So Sorry!

I’m so sorry that I haven’t gotten back to any comments left here within the last 2 weeks. I was on a cruise for spring break, and now I am getting ready for the performance of our 7/8 Drama Club play this weekend. I have 2 1/2 hour rehearsals everyday after school plus this week I have a WWW (Word Within the Word) test, math quiz, math test, social studies test, and health paper due. Yikes! So please please please forgive me; I promise I will comment back next week! Thanks for your patience!

This is the Scarecrow, Dorothy, Glinda, the Lion, and the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.  I am the tornado and yellow brick road.  Aren’t the costumes fantastic?

Boys vs. Girls: It’s a tie?

For all 13 years of my life, I have been stuck in the middle of a boys vs. girls fight. For some reason, girls think they’re better than boys and boys think that they are better than girls. Now you’re probably thinking, “She’s a girl so she thinks that she’s better than boys, right?” Wrong. (For the record I usually am better than boys, but that’s not the point of this post! :) )

Most of my friends are boys.  Quite frankly it is so much easier to get along with them!  Girls are all dramatic and you can hardly say a sentence without offending or upsetting someone. Boys on the other hand, don’t care at all what you say. And most of the time they are pretty good listeners.

So now you’re probably thinking “Okay so what’s the big problem? Just be friends with guys.” But there is a problem. Girls don’t like that. They tease and whisper and gossip and somehow come to the conclusion that I like these boys. (One I do, but that’s again not the point! :) ) Anyways, if that was true about all of my friends, I would be dating 23 boys. Yikes!

So here’s my question . . . Why can’t girls and guys just be friends? What’s wrong with that?
